Plan for the worst, but hope for the best!

As a salon manager, you should prepare for the worst and hope for the best.  What's your worst case scenario?  For example, all the staff phone in sick on the same day, or the weather is too treacherous for clients to travel to you, your building burns down, new salons open next door to you?  Any or all of these things can play havoc with your sales and figures.

So what contingency plans do you have in place in case the worst case scenario actually happens?

You've got to have emergency plans, procedures for crisis management, replacement team to call on or alternative sources of income laid down - in other words, you have to have a plan for worst case scenario.

The chances are you won't ever have to implement this plan, hopefully it will always remain just that - a plan........but you still need the plan!
